Marcus McCabe

Marcus McCabe is passionate about hemp. An experienced lecturer in Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering and Organic Agriculture at a number of third level Institutions in Ireland, Marcus was seminal in creating new thinking around the design and construction of human settlements bringing to life the first Permaculture Project in Ireland to include use of biomass materials and ecological wastewater systems based on reed-bed systems, scientific composting systems, passive solar design, orchard gardens and education. He has brought some of this technology to market through the provision of Ecological wastewater treatment systems using a number of technologies which use waste to generate resources and aid biodiversity. Clients included many local councils, as well as businesses throughout Ireland. He has been a leading light in the introduction of Hemp cultivation to Ireland and has been growing hemp in Monaghan since 2013 and across the border from as early as 2006. Hemp processing is now the main focus of his work.
